Discover our heart, our mission, and how we follow Jesus
"The Village Church is a community of peace where people can process personal struggles, heal from past wounds, and experience the overwhelming love of Jesus. We pray that through our love, people recognize their need for God’s grace, receive salvation in Jesus, and find peace in life with the Spirit."
Pastor Pete and his family served as missionaries in Bulgaria, gaining invaluable experience in ministry and building communities of faith across cultural boundaries.
Upon returning to the states, they felt a strong call to start a church planting work in their hometown of St. George, building on Pete's parents' small group ministry.
A home group started, connected to a church 45 minutes away. Pete's parents had already been faithfully hosting gatherings, laying the foundation for what was to come.
During Covid, the group nearly dissolved. But faith prevailed - meetings moved outside on Sunday mornings and began to grow again.
The small group entered the EPC - Evangelical Presbyterian Church, finding denominational support and community.
Pete was ordained as a Commissioned Pastor in the EPC, officially recognizing his calling to shepherd this growing flock.
We began renting a storefront on Main Street in St. George, establishing a permanent home for our growing church family. From a small home group to a thriving congregation, God continues to write our story.
The Village Church is part of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church Denomination. Our beliefs coincide with the beliefs of the EPC.
